I am not launching into a debate on health care. No matter which way our nation is headed, the state of medical science has advanced to the point where longevity is on the rise. The elderly need all sorts of healthcare and other services.

I think this is a bankable niche. If you have ever cared for the elderly, you'll know that things get very complicated just at a time when the people aren't as well equipped to cope with complexity. Services that help the elderly navigate this complexity should do well.

Biotech is extending the average life span. Will you live to 100 years of age? If you survive to 60 than I put your chances as very high probability.

Since outsourcing has taken place at a breathtaking pace, jobs moving to overseas countries, production being relocated to reduce costs, one can only wonder what's left! People still need the basics of food and shelter plus care as they grow older, so look to continued high yield food production and the construction field. The increased population combined with longevity thanks to medical advances all add up to greater need for care services, sometimes long term care for the elderly.

The serious jobs in future will be in communications, entertainment, the development of alternative forms of energy and managing of natural resources which are likely to become scarcer; opening up the Arctic routes for trade and mining is also coming to the attention of several nations.

City, State, & Federal Government jobs in all sectors.

You can not outsource garbage collection. Or hair care. Or nail salons.

Or personal services. Or construction. Or road work.

Make up your own list. I would say teachers are safe - for a while. When it goes to one on one instruction on a web screen - anyone could do it.

Physicians may be safe. Until robots take over, then a robot doing your surgery could be worked from aywhere.

Robots could also take care of the elderly.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
