I think it's typical lawyer shenanigans. I think it's typical lawyer shenanigans. Lawyers will try even legal maneuver possible to put their clients in the best position, even if the client is guilty as sin, which most people contend Madoff clearly is.

At the end of the day, the lawyers are being paid by Madoff, so they try to get him out of anything they can. Asking for his release until June seems ridiculous to us, but to lawyers, that's standard practice. Hopefully in the end, Madoff ends up in jali for life with no possibility of parole.

Bernie Madoff's attorney, Ira Lee Sorkin, did his job, but fortunately the judge did his too. A criminal attorney's job is to take his client's side. That is what Ira Lee Sorkin is doing, and he has gotten plenty of hate mail for it.

Madoff is a worthless human being, no doubt. But Mr. Sorkin has not robbed anyone. Bernie Madoff deserves a defense before he is put away for 100 years.

He deserves any break his attorney can convince a judge to give him. I don't think he will get too many, from now on. That is how our justice system works, and there is no reason to go outside it for Madoff.

It is too bad Madoff's attorney is not a public defender though. If Madoff were forced to have a public defender, the money Sorkin is getting could go to Madoff's victims. This is only my opinion, and in America I'm allowed to express it, just like I'm allowed to have a lawyer.

1 That's what they're paid to do. Of course, they know, and we know he won't leave prison again in this life time.

Now they're investigating his wife and the rest of the family. Maybe she can get an adjoining cell and they can pass notes back and forth. As to the lawyer asking he be let out - big cajones.....real big ones.

Bernie Madoff faces sentencing on Monday. Should they throw the book at him? What say you.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
