This is an idea that has been around for years and was in fact included in the Confederate Constitution of 1861. What are the pros and cons of this idea? Asked by KingofRandomCrap 59 months ago Similar questions: limiting American president?
S year term Society > story.
4 year terms with the possibility of two terms is best. I would not care for it. 4 years seems to be a good length of time.
You might say 6 would give a President longer time to get things done, but I would argue if you cant do it in 4 then 2 more won't help any. Mostly I would like to point to the issue of elections reflecting the will of the people. Since elections are our, the citizens, chance to voice our opinion; I would not like 6 years as a lot can change in that much time.
I think if anything we need to find ways for government to more quickly reflect our input. 4 year terms with the possibility of two terms is best.? if you like 6 years would you allow two terms?12! Years?
;) .
Too long It just seems like a six year term is too long for one person in office with no chance for change. I like the four year limit, with one chance to repeat, myself. If we don't like someone or they are really not doing their job after four years, we can elect someone new.
I'm just not that thrilled with the idea of impeaching presidents; I would rather get the right ones in office in the first place or a short time in office for those that aren't working out. Hopefully, we won't get too many of the later... *Poppet*'s Recommendations Nixon Deluxe Mask .
It should be up to the public who is voted in each term... and I think 6 years is too long, anyway. Sources: My opinion .
Don't like the idea. You get two more years of the bad ones, and two fewer years of the good ones.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
