You don't really 'win' a political debate. It's not even really a debate, it's a joint press conference. After a debate, newspeople will go find partisans and stick a mic in their face, and they'll say their candidate 'won' the debate, which comes as no surprise to anyone.
Did you see the single debate between Sarah Palin and Joe Biden in the 2008 election? Palin had apparently memorized five or six talking points and she tried to answer every question with them. In preparation she had trouble with Biden's name, calling him O'Biden, so her handlers suggested she ask at the start if she could just call him Joe.
About halfway through the debate she answered a question with a totally unrelated talking point, and when this was brought up she said "I'm not here to answer your questions!" Yet Fox News and Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity reported, and most Republicans believed, she had 'won' the debate! Romney will be embarrassed in the debates.
He really has nothing to say. He has no new agenda to propose, only a return to the failed agenda of GW Bush. He can't use his old line 'Obama took a bad economy and made it worse' because he didn't make it worse.
His whole campaign is (1) Obama's recovery is too slow and (2) We want to wipe out even that small amount of progress. But wait and see. Republican media outlets will loudly insist Romney won the debates.
Romney will point out the failures of the current administration For Instance, Obama might go to the debates be asked a question like... Mr. President, how would you describe the current unemployment in America. Obama will answer saying thins like this...When I took office we were loosing X jobs were month, and now we are three and half years into my administration and as you see by the unemployment numbers we are recovering. Romney will say something like this Mr. President, currently the unemployment number is at 8.1%, But when you dig deeper into what that number represents, you find that you do not include all those people who have Run out of benefits and are no longer collecting unemployment benefits People who have dropped out of the Job Market, either by not looking for work, gave up looking for work...are under employed or working part time. This current administration has spent $1 Trillion dollars to create jobs...and that has not worked...my plan will be to........ Romney will point out the FAILURES of Obama.... Obama Can't run on the economy, or jobs, or energy, what does he have left?
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
