Universal health care" The US is the only industrialized country on earth with no form of universal health care. Germany has had this since the late 1800's as soon as Chancellor Bismarck discovered that when he made a decree, it did not require the approval of the Kaiser. S first decree was that all Germans would have health care.

I spent some years out-of-country (in Europe) and even though I had health care from the military, I bought the German insurance. Unlike the baseless rumors generated by the Republican Party back-room-boys, the system in Germany is run, not by the government but, by insurance companies. It’s a simple system made with late 1800's lack of BS and poppycock so associated with government pronouncements we are accustomed to these days.

I paid 20 or 30 Marks per month and had all indicated medical care for a co-pay of DM20 (five dollars at that time). Everybody, (every adult) in the country pays in a small fee each month and those who require medical attention get it…forthwith. They have some of the best medical care on the planet.

What the Republicans find so abhorrent with this is that large insurance companies and the medical health system, hospitals (corporations for profit), and doctors cannot get immediately rich by preying on sick people, the very people they claim to help, for riches. This is a concern to politicians since they received large sums of money from this industry. Insurance companies have even found a way to take large amounts of money from doctors by exorbitant fees for bogus “malpractice insurance which go to support another organized rip-off perpetrated upon the hapless American citizen by our (largest on earth) cadre of unnecessary attorneys.

A senior Chinese official explained that the Chinese people like really Americans, a lot, but the reason our governments find it difficult getting along is that while the Chinese governing body is populated by engineers and doctors, the American Congress is populated ny…attorneys! Universal Health…absolutely deserved by the American People. Why don’t we have it?

Many of our politicians probably ought to see the inside of Leavenworth Prison. Sorry for going off on this...we need to WAKE UP in this country! .

Lower wages, encourage others to go into health care whom might not have (because they'd have failed), and create a more separated elite class of doctors who know what they're talking about. I am assuming that any national health care will end up functioning much like Medi-Cal does, which I've been on enough to know the rank incompetence of the bureaucrats. I think that, ultimately, the folks who have done the work to get where they are to make the money they make will make the money, somehow, even it if it means being the doctor for the mob..

The US is one of the last industrialized nations if not the very last not to have universal health care ,details.

A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
