The first thing you may notice with a chigger bite is the itching. If you see red welts or bumps forming in the area of the itch, you may have a chigger bite. It is also possible for blisters to form and under the skin bleeding.
A long used remedy for chigger bites is nail polish applied to the affected area. This seals the bite and prevents air from getting in which eventually suffocates the chigger. You can find more information here: biteremedy.com/Chigger-Bites.html.
