Well what he is saying is that if we are critical instead of compassionate then we will also receive criticism. If we treat others generously, graciously, and compassionately, however these qualities will come back to us in full measure - we are to love others not judge them and treat them as we would want to be treated.
That little story should answer that question of yours. :).
The bible was re-written several times, by copying and translating. It has also gone through series of editing by early Church elders.
I believe that Christ saw the spiritual realm quite well. He saw how he and us are related to God. It is something very profound, grand and too good even for religious institutions believe.
I do not wish to expand this here.
In short, I believe the true meaning is that what you do to others, you also do that to you. Jesus saw that all our souls, which act independently, are linked and not separate. When God or Jesus or any spiritual masters looks into your eyes they will also see each of your neighbor within you.
It is no wonder that Jesus proclaimed the you should love your neighbor as you love yourself. In other words be prepared, what you do to others, good or bad, it will come back to you.
Even your judgement against others, which is not advised, will come back to you.
This was the grandest message of Jesus which echos itself many times over.
Using the same standards that you have judged your fellowmen. I think this was intended to show that we should not judge others. Judgment lays with the Lord and no one else.
Who are we to judge others when we are all sinners.
It means for misrepresenting his intent . Aka speaking for god. I think.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
