Last week I went flying my super-duper spaceship. When I came back the Space Agency asked me to pay space taxes for one week. I told them that, from my own on-board clock, I was away only 12 hours and I don't intend to pay taxes for one week of earth's time.
Trying to be smart, I added: ... and how do you know it was me who went flying in space and not earth that went flying away from me? The answer from the Space Agency was: "Aha, smart guy! But we checked your inertia navigation system on-board and it showed that you were accelerating for 3 days then decelerating for the next 4 days.
Hence, you perceived time dilation, not us! And that is the point already explained by the three other answers: time dilation is only the result of a change in relative speed between two different objects.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
