What does nick see gatsby doing at the end of chapter 1?

At the end of Chapter 1, Nick notices Gatsby heading towards the waterside by his home. After watching him for some time, he sees Gatsby extend his arms out towards the water: towards a flashing green light across the Sound. The green light is actually one of the most famous metaphors in American literature, as it belongs to the Daisy Buchanan's docks, the girl Gatsby loves, and is seen as a gesture of love and longing as if he is reaching out for her.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
