No. It might be a cute saying but it's not true. Somethings can hurt so bad you are scared for life and changed.
Or as my friend on this site says...what doesn't kill you had better fun pretty darn fast.
QOTD, No I don't agree. I have athritis that is killing me and it definately is NOT making me any stronger. Judy Sparky's Mom.
NO> What doesn't kill you can hurt so bad it can make you wish you were dead. Death is often thought of as a release from pain. So, the answer is NO.
What Doesn't Kill Me Makes Me Stronger' ...is only a term of encouragement to rise to a challenge and conquer it in life. But in reality if you go rock climbing and succeed at climbing that 400' mountain with no real safety gear...sure, you will feel stronger. But one day....after 1, 2 or 50 successful climbs...that one slip of the foot, that one missed hand grip...and 'newton's law of gravity' is gonna zap all the 'strong' right outta ya!...And the last thing you'll ever hear is not some cutesie, 'feel good' quote ....but the sound of ...'splat'........and after that...nothing.
I agree - to a point. I've had many tragedies and a lot of sadness and pain in my life. And still am with my disabilities.
Getting past these things has indeed made me stronger. But I don't think it's true if you're asking for it by doing stupid crap and taking chances.
