What effect did the antiwar movement have on the Vietnam War?

If you were able to ask Ho Chi Minh or NVA General Nguyen Giap they will both tell you the anti-war movement in the U.S. was the reason why North Vietnam won the War. Giap will admit that NVA and Viet Cong forces could not hold up in direct combat against U.S. forces or ARVN (South Vietnam) forces with proper U.S. support. His strategy to beat the U.S. was to outlast the American public’s desire to continue fighting the War.

This is a classic strategy taught by Sun Tzu in the Art of War and Giap was a passionate student of Sun Tzu’s teachings. The Tet Offense is the perfect example of what I’m describing from many aspects. The Tet Offense was a complete military failure for the NVA and Viet Cong but also a surprisingly incredible psychological and political victory for North Vietnam.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
