What effect does deleting EC2 snapshots have?

The only benefit is being able to restore to the older snapshot. Deleting one snapshot does not effect any of the others. Feel free to get rid of the old ones.

The new ones will still work.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
