Sonia Sotomayor attended Blessed Sacrament School in Soundview, the Bronx, New York, through eighth grade, when she graduated valedictorian of her class. She then took the entrance exams and was accepted to the academically rigorous Cardinel Spellman where she was also class valedictorian.
