Autocad (Computer Aided Design or Drafting) is a software that is used for 2d or 3d design or drafting. It runs on office only and it is VERY resource heavy on your PC, very demanding. You should have a higher end PC if you are running Autocad. It is pretty expensive, usually starting at $1000.
Its used primarily by engineers and architects. Ellen Finkelstein (what a great name) can tell you everything you ever want to know and more about autocad if you follow the link below. Who needs Wikipedia when you have Ellen Finkelstein!
AUTOCAD - is a design and documentation software(CAD-COMPUTER AIDED DESIGN ). CAD is an important industrial art extensively used in many applications, including automotive, shipbuilding, and aerospace industries, industrial and architectural design, prosthetic and many more. CAD is also widely used to produce computer animation for special effects in movies, advertising and technical manuals.
You can use Autocad in designing curves and figures in 2D(two dimensional) space:and 3D(three dimensional) surfaces, solids and curves. I was a commerce graduate and learned it and was successful in helping an Engineer (civil work related ) in designing the Blueprint while constructing Buildings. Sky is the limit if you can learn this software because of its use in all types of Drawing and Animation related fields.
You can download a 30 day free trial through the link given below. Good luck.
I was at the college bookstore and saw a book on AutoCad. I have never heard of it and was curious what it is, what it's used for, does it have good reviews? Anyone one on here use it?
And lastly what kinds of careers may require experience with this? (I'm assuming it's software so I will use that category hopefully I'm not wrong!) Thanks for settling my curiosity! I was at the college bookstore and saw a book on AutoCad.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
