I've gone a mole on my head behind my ear and while it sometimes causes my barber to have to be careful to avoid nicking it when trimming, it's no problem. A dermatologist looked at it (and some others on my body) and said that removing them would just be a matter of esthetics, not health, so I haven't bothered.
