I think Pete Rose is the biggest snub of all time. He has 4,256 hits, 17 time All-Star, 7 time hit leader, 2 time Gold Glove Award winner, 5 times doubles leader and 3 time batting champion and a member of 3 World Series championship teams. Second on my list is Tim Raines.
He was one of most prolific base stealers in history. He accumulated 808 steals, 70 or more in five straight seasons. He also was a 7 time All-Star and had 2,605 hits.
Alan Trammell was one of the top shortstops during the late 70's and 80's. He was a 6 time All-Star, 5, had 2 time Gold Glove Award Winner. He also had 2,365 hits and his 185 home runs and 1,003 rbi's from a shortstop during that era were very good power numbers.
The last two players on my list are pitchers Bert Blyleven and Jack Morris. Blyleven won 287 games, had 3,701 strikeouts and an earned run average of 3.31. One negative that could be keeping him out is he gave up 430 home runs and had only one 20 win season.
Morris was a five time All Star, had 254 wins, 2,478 strikeouts. S earned run average was on the high side for a Hall of Fame pitcher at 3.90, which could be why he hasn't earned a spot. I think all five of those players certainly deserve to be enshrined amongst the best of all time.
.The Major League Baseball’s Hall of Fame in Coopertown, which is based in New York have shares of mental lapses. How can they oversee the legendary Peter Rose who has many milestones and achievements to speak lofty of his greatness, as a baseball player is not on the list? Yeah you are right there maverick, Babe Ruth and Ty Cobb have some attitude problems.
Well maybe the problem is the banning of Rose while engaging in sports betting. My other names on the lists are defensive gem Dom Di Maggio (a 7 time All Star), Joe Jackson (also banned from gambling, but has the third highest batting average of all time in the league with his 0.356), Dave Parker, and Bert Blyleven. The inclusion of the Peter Rose is still subject to many debates.
Well I just let the future decide whether or not the prolific Peter Rose deserves to be on the list. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S78SAwLUfS4.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
