Games for the original game boy are still around, just a little hard to find. If you are refering to the original (gray ) game boy, my daughter has the original gameboy, and I have found that the game boy color games will work in in it, the just won't be in color. You can still find many of those games at a number of used game stores..

Check a game stop or game crazy. Both gamestop and game crazy sell used games. If you get lucky in your local town they will have any variety.

Also definitely try ebay, people sell everything from regular NES there as well still. Alleyway is a great game where you shoot balls at bricks at the top of the screen and break them. Tetris, and other fun games are still available like yoshi, that was a fun one even if you're not a yoshi fan.It's hard to judge since I'm not sure of the age of the child.

I'm assuming about 9 or younger? Definitely take him with you to these places unless it's a gift. Usually there are not as many old school gameboy games (it varies so much), and some cities don't even sell them anymore, but I just think Ebay is the way to go on this one.

I still play mine in fact. Yeah I have all the newer ones but theres just something that makes it fun seeing it in the green blocky stuff. You can sometimes even get the games at pawnshops and so on.

I have even found some of hte games for gb under $5! You could also search ebay and you will find alot. Some of the gbc (gameboy color) will even work on the original... You can find alot of interesting games too...I know I have over the yers and im so glad I waited on alot of em.

There are lots of games out there. Amazon has a page listed in the sources with several games. It might be best to go to a store like Game Stop and try and see what they have in their used game selections.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
