All I can say is... I'd have no idea how, or why, you'd be looking through your body's eyes, if you had no soul. You apparently weren't your mother or father beforehand, but somehow you have a body now. Funny how you aren't looking through a dog's or cat's body, but just that one body in particular you see in the mirror.
Yes I believe in souls. The Bible says there's Heaven and Hell too.
Your much too young to worry about death when you have so much life left to live. In ways everybody is afraid of death, afraid of what happens when they move on and what will happen to their loved ones when you move on. Most people don't really think about it, that's why not so many people are afraid, but when you find yourself in a certain situation, then yes they are afraid for themselves.
When your old and you know the possibility of death is high, most of them are not afraid because they've been around so long they are ready to move on to another journey or whatever. I suggest getting into a habit or going to church or talking to a priest, or if you already go to church then get out. Take a vacation, talk to someone, get a crush.
Enjoy life while you have already so much fuel to burn. As you said your only 14, live without the needless fear of death.
The biggest mystery about life is life. No one knows anything about why the way things are. It's weird to think that were just pieces of flesh on a tiny rock in a sea billions of other planets and stars that make up a galaxy, then there's infinite galaxies that go on for ever.
And then to make things more enigmatic, everything is made up of atoms. The thing is we will never find out in this life. I think maybe life is infinite.
Maybe if the meaning of it all was laid out on the table we wouldn't be able to understand the complexity of it like a dog trying to understand a lap top. I believe when living things die it's the end but it's not the end end. All we can do is enjoy and treasure every moment and pursue a life that make us happy.
Never let dogma drag you down. Treat people well and strive to make your mark by doing what you are passionate about.
Wow I'm only 13 and I have the same fear. I always think I'm never gonna be on this nice earth and just die quick. Well I believe in god too and I've heard your soul will go to heaven and you will expirience heaven, not your body, but it will feel the same as if you were on earth.
If you are a ghost ( restless soul) you will walk the earth and haunt your enemies lol Scientists are studying a thing to slow down the aging process Medicine has come a long way. There will be things like that when your probably 20- 39 yrs old Good luck I'm still scared.
Stop worrying and enjoy your remaining life.
Well, death is inevitable...once you accept that, it's easier to get rid of the fear. Now, it's different if you have a fear of being murdered...
I went through the same thing at your age, so I know how you feel. Although I was raised as a Christian, I'll have to admit I'm a little skeptical of some of the things in the Bible as well. I've gotten more consolation from stories of near-death experiences than I have from religion.
There have been so many documented cases of near-death experiences, and the even more surprising shared death experiences, that I can't help thinking there may be something to it. Raymond Moody, the author of "Life After Life", "The Light Beyond", and "Glimpses of Eternity", is a leading researcher in the field, and regardless of what you believe, his books make fascinating reading. They seem to indicate that the many religions of the world each have a bit of truth in them, but the reality may not be so tied to any one religion as many people believe.
Maybe no single religion has all of the facts, but there are certain common threads that may be true. Maybe the afterlife isn't a city in the clouds, but it could be a parallel universe or a dimension beyond the ones we can perceive. Some of the more intersting accounts said that the afterlife couldn't be described in three-dimensional terms because it had more than that.
Take a look at one of his books and see what you think.
Just try stop thinking about it you should not ever be afraid of death because when the time comes there will be nothing you can do about it anyway. If your christian you should have faith. We cant prove God and heaven exist but we also cant prove that God and heaven DONT exist.
And death as well as life is a gift. No one knows what happens if you die because we cant talk to anyone that is dead. Try skydiving or something it will make you stop thinking about it ;)."Who Dares Wins.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
