What have you noticed recently, that you hadn't noticed or thought of before?

Here is one that made me do that recently.It is the lost/odd socks thing. We all know what a pain in the nuisance it is to try to sort out odd socks. When I couldn't find a matching pair, I'd pretty much go and steal another family member's socks, other than wearing mis-matched socks.

I looked at my teen daughter's feet about 2 months ago, and she's wearing one green, and one pink sock. She couldn't find the matching socks, so she wore them the way she found them. It has never occurred to me to do that, and it is so logical when I think about it.So that is one of my DOH moments.

Block"-Head! Sometimes I amaze myself the way I can miss the obvious. Especially since I like to think I’m pretty observant!

So here’s my latest; I did this one just last night. We’re sitting there watching television and a commercial comes on for H & R Block, the tax preparers. They do their commercial thing and then this big ugly green square fills the screen with the letters "H & R Block" below it.

They’ve had this logo for a couple of years now. So I’m looking at it and thinking, not for the first time, what an ugly logo it is. "That is so boring!"

I think. " And unimaginative! What’s the point?

It’s nothing but a big square green ... block ...." (lightbulb begins to flicker) "...oh yeah! BLOCK! Of course!

I get it---H & R BLOCK! It’s a block! " Geez, could it have been any more obvious?(Oh yeah, as far as the sock go, we used to do that all the time, and my mom would always say to us, "I betcha have another pair just like that at home!") .

DUH! I have had many DUH moments in my life. But the one I remember the most is the day I drove a littlee over 2 miles with a ceramic coffee mug on the roof of my car.

And I mad it the whole way without it falling off. When I got out of the car and saw that mug ~ I did the duh thing! .

1 Cognitive error....stopped at a stop sign and sat there and waited as if it was a light. I hate errors like that! Scary.

2 Sorry don't have any DOH moments at this time but I am sure I will enjoy reading everybody elses. I just had to laugh at your DOH because just yesterday my husband was sorting out our socks from the missing sock draw lol. Yep we have a special draw where we keep single socks, for some reason most of the better halfs reappear lol.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
