What if the Stony Brook University Student Health Service doesn’t have any appointments available?

That might be a real possibility. Please ask to see the Triage RN on duty. That person can assist you with other resources and provide the next available appointment for you.

What about the vaccine? We have ordered the seasonal flu vaccine which will be available as it arrives. We will have notifications on our website, and on Blackboard about available dates and location(s).

You will need to consider two vaccines this semester: • One: Seasonal Flu Vaccine • Two: H1N1 Vaccine (second doses are for children nine and under) Will the Stony Brook University Student Health Service have the H1N1 vaccine in stock? The H1N1 vaccine will not be sold commercially. The CDC is distributing the vaccine through the NYS Department of Health.

The vaccine has been ordered by Student Health Services. The university has already hosted a number of PODs (Point of Distribution) on West Campus, East Campus, and the Southampton campus. We will continue to offer the vaccine as supplies become available.

Does ... more.
