What imitations in the professional practices of journalism prevent objectivity? what determines wha?

Mass media ownership is a big problem with objectivity in journalism. Several different companies used to own seperate peices of the U.S. Mass media, now just a few massive corporations dominate the media. Big business diffinitely carries some influence and biasSource(s):Mass Communication "Media and Culture", and The Project for Excellence in Journalism.

Objectivity is often misunderstood as being unbiased. This comes from a view that our mind is clouded by our emotions, and we would be able to think clearly if we could overcome them. Emotional neutrality, and lack of bias, are viewed as being objective.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
