Hard to say based on what price range you are into. I've been a Remington fan for many many years. I like the 1100 auto.
I found that it kicks less than my 870 pump which is really dependable. Both have been made in great quantities and won't break the bank. Either get barrels in modified or full choke, 12 gage.
Or with screw in chokes that way you buy only one barrel. Other may offer different suggestions but it comes down to preference and what other have used and feel comfortable with. Remingotn carries a good name and I am sure you can find a good used one.
Also look into the 11-87 model.
Stay away from a pump gun, they are too slow, good hunting, but they do not belong on a clays course. Over and under, single trigger, choke tubes, so you can switch them in a few seconds. No 870,s --waste of money for what you are doing, get ready to spend $1500 for a used Beretta, and up.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
