Poppet -- we are having a church dessert buffet. I just want to avoid people loading up their plate and those in the back of the line don't get any. Srosko 3 hours ago .
Ah! In a situation like that, small "cute" signs might be appropriate. "Let's make sure everyone gets a chance to taste each dish" or something like that."You're welcome to seconds after everyone gets firsts!
" .
You might also want to have each serving plated up, rather than help yourself in a big container. More work, but that way you can be sure. Or, have the desserts separate, and give people a ticket for desserts so that everyone gets one.
If there's some left over offer them to anyone.
Thanks Poppet! Very helpful. Srosko 2 hours ago .
Well, you could put out a limited quantity of food and then once it is gone. Then the party is over! .
I don't see how you can actually ask your guests to only take 2 meatballs or one helping of potatoes, etc...

Oh, I understand what you mean. In that case, estimate the number of people and make alot of stuff! .
Thanks Lovenola! We expect about 100 people at maybe 4 cookies/desserts a piece. Srosko 3 hours ago .
Serve the guests yourself. If you're worried about limiting your own food intake without being rude to your hosts, just eat really slowly and push your food around on your plate.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
