In black hat SEO everything goes to game the system and to get your page at the top of the rankings. So that means spamming your webpage on the internet, getting links from link farms, hidden texts in the same color as the background color and so on. In other words, all the known tricks to improve your ranking but that don't really serve your readers.

From what I understand black hat refers to the unethical practices in internet business and seo in general. White hat, of course the opposite. This could be incorrect but that is how it was once explained to me.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
