For a startup like Mahalo which already has a staff of IT people I'd recommend SugarCRM. It is an opensource project and, although you can sign up for hosted or on-site service, you can also set it up without having to pay them for anything. sugarcrm.com Other options include SalesForce which is completely on-demand and has an iPhone app which would allow people needing access to the CRM software to do so on the go.
Check out Sugar On Demand. $40/user/month sugarcrm.com/crm/products/sugar-on-deman... Everything you need to get started and scales with you as you grow.
Before recommending a "CRM" it's important to understand there are different types that have completely different focus e.g. Operational vs transaction - tracking conversations with people vs managing boxes. The cheapest / most expensive / most popular won't always be the best solution for you. The best system is always the one that gets used.
Another important issue is task switching from one role to another e.g. Sales - provisioning - support. Often with small teams it's the same person. One integrated system works better than three.
Solve360 is a collaborative CRM that integrates Project Management offered by norada.com If you're selling boxes then Sugar or Salesforce is a safe bet. If you're working with people then Solve is the trick. Intro video at http://is.gd/lYIL.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
