A person who is said to be passive aggressive doesn't openly attack or right out deny to complete a task as asked; they find indirect ways of expressing anger or defiance. They may pretend to forget to do something that they had no intention of doing in the first place or hide a snarky comment under the ruse of humor. Pretty much everyone has at least one relative or friend who seems to conveniently "forget" to do something each time you ask them. Instead of telling you no or coming up with an excuse, they agree to do it and just does not complete the task. This is passive aggressive behavior; the person seems agreeable on the surface, but in truth passively resists the needs of others.
