Yes referral trackers does help to increase your earnings if you can get many people to use them to signup and produce good in demand content. The other is that you have huge traffic flow which redirects to other hubs with your unique RT and you get 120mins of their hub traffic.

At the moment you can only see how many users have signed-up using your RT but you cannot see how much you have earned - maybe HP could put in some code to allow people to see that.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
