Vatican city is the home to the Pope, who heads all of the branches of Catholicism and the many different orders that have formed over the centuries. It is also the resting place of St. Peter, of the 12 apostles sent out by Jesus, and whom was told that on him the church would be built, not knowing that it literally would be. It is essentially the physical home to a religion that has been around for 2000 years and shaped human history in western Europe greatly.
Afterall, there was a time when people could have entire kingdoms brought down by the mere gesture of the man who sits on St. Peter's throne. And yes the church has it's issues and detraction's but what doesn't. Do not blame the religion the people belong to.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
