What is the 1719 William Trent House?

The 1719 William Trent House is the oldest standing building in the city of Trenton, New Jersey. It was built between the years of 1716 and 1719. The city of Trenton is named after William Trent who was once a wealthy merchant.

The house is currently owned by the City of Trenton's Department of Recreation,Natural Resources and Culture. If you want to visit the house, tours are available. You will be taken back to a long ago time once you set foot in the house.

Inside you will see how it was to live in Colonial times. There are many artifacts and furnishings from that period decorating the place. The house is open for tours everyday from 12:30 PM to 4:00 PM.
