What is the best and current book on creating your first iPhone native application?

The most current book on the subject is "Beginning iPhone Development" by Dave Mark and Jeff LaMarche. This will probably go a little more in depth than you'll be looking for, however. A slightly older but also well-reviewed book is "The iPhone Developer's Cookbook" by Erica Sadun.

According to Amazon. Com, a new O'Reilly book called iPhone SDK will be available on January 15. If you're looking for some free tips, here are a couple websites that detail the iPhone app-building process: http://www.ddj.com/mobile/212201481 and http://www.tuaw.com/2007/08/23/create-your-own-iphone-remote-application.

That depends on your background. Are you a C++ or Java programmer? Have you developed applications on Mac OS X before?

I'd imagine that the SDK has plenty of documentation. Go ahead, sign up for it, read through what they send you and if you still need a book, head over to amazon. I do know that there's a hefty NDA that goes along with the SDK, so there's a real dearth of web sites devoted to helping developers bang out their bugs.

Ok, so a student membership is $99 for ADC ... a book might be cheaper to get started! But, you're going to have to pay the $499 before you release you app on the app store.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
