You have too many "best" options Depending on your level of expertise with video editing, your final goals, and your wallet, you can get programs for all situations. I believe you’re not a professional, so for someone at home, you can go with titles from Sony, Corel, Adobe, and Pinnacle. Adobe may be a good option in case you want to get deeper involved into video editing as they also produce professional level software (at a much higher price).

Corel recently aquired a company called Ulead that prublishes a product called Video Studio (version 11 Plus being the latest one). You also have Pinnacle Video Studio. Sony is probably the one least popular.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
