What is the best genealogy website?

My favorite website to get information for my genealogy is www.ancestry.com. It has the most records of any site I have found so far. It also has easily navigated search features.

I have found the census records, the birth record, the marriage records, and the military records the most helpful for me. I do occasionally look at the information other users have submitted but I never combine a name with my tree without first verifying the information. To many want to take the easy way out and get information from someone else but people make mistakes so it is always best to verify the information for yourself.

I have also used www.mytrees.com and it is ok but the searches aren't as good but you can get it free by doing transcribing online so when my ancestry subscription runs out and I am short on cash I use it. For census records you can also go through library websites and access heritage quest which is also really good when you are short on money. More.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
