What is the best movie adaptation of a book you've ever seen?

For the most part, books, comics and games being translated to the big creen are horrible - and yet, every once in a while, it turns out pretty awesome! For my money, you just can't find a more perfect example the the Shining. That movie followed the book pretty closely (until the end) and STILL scares the crap out of people!

I would have to agree with you without a doubt. To kill a mockingbird is definitely the BEST movie adaption of a book and but I kinda think that Starship Troopers was also a HORRIBLE book to movie adaption.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
