Pencil for crosswords I have a Pentel mechanical pencil, model P205 with 0.5 mm leads. I would say this is the equivalent of a #2 pencil with a very fine point. I can’t stand dull pencils, so this one is always sharp.
I’ve been using them for over 20 years. The erasers go fast so I also have a Pentel mechanical eraser, model ZE22. You can get both of these in Wal-Mart or Staples.
Actually, I do crosswords in ink. I use the above to do sudokus, which require a lot more erasing (at least for me.....) I once bought an off-price clone of the pencil and it didn't last a year.
Go for the Pentel! .
A pen is the best tool you can use for puzzles. It’s not a pencil. It’s a pen.
I am addicted to puzzles and Sudoku; they are my biggest time-stealers. The best thing I have found is an Eraser-Mate pen. I prefer a pen because the words are so much cleaner and URL1 matter what pencil you use it is never as easy to read as with a pen.
If a puzzle is so easy that you never get any wrong it isn’t worth bothering with because there is no challenge. And of course with the Eraser-Mate pen you can make changes. 1 This question is silly! A dark-enough pencil so that you can see what you are writing, with a soft-enough lead in order to erase mistakes! There are hundreds of pencils that fit this description!

2 But, should you want to narrow it down just a tad, try the Staedtler Remedy 0.9 mm mechanical. I have only seen them at Walmart. Big fat body that is comfy, big fat lead, nice soft eraser that doesn't tear up the paper.

3 I use a pen. I hate pencils on crosswords that I'm working on. It's not that I make no mistakes, I just write over the ones I do make.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
