What is the best water filtration unit to use in order to provide water to a single family home filtering river water?

The river in question is the Patapsco River in Baltimore, MD, and it's pretty nasty. I don't have any specifics on water quality, but it's an estuary (salt and fresh water meeting) and a major shipping lane. Looking to provide enough water from the river to fully account for the needs of one to two single-family homes living off the grid.

Reverse osmosis I have had a well and I understand this is the best filtration system. The only other thing to watch out for is bacteria especially from a stream. You may have to get the water clorinated..

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
