I haven't tried this yet, but apparently it works very well. Leave a little beer in a beer bottle outside. Apparently mosquitoes like beer, they drink, get drunk and drown.
I will be trying this this year, because my skin has an allergic reaction to mosquito saliva.
I've heard that orange is really good at detering mosquitoes as well as lavender. Lighting a lavender calendar will help to prevent some mosquitos but if you're inside a house and want to protect yourself from mosquitoes, maybe the best way is to install window screens on your windows - that way, you can open up your windows when it gets warm but not have to worry about pests (any pests) from getting into your house.
The best, natural mosquito repellent that you can use is the "Repel Lemon Eucalyptus Repellent" which provides 120.1 minutes of mosquito protection and has low concentration of the chemical DEET. Furthermore, a study conducted by the US Department of Agriculture compared 4 synthetic mosquito and 8 natural mosquito repellents and found that Repel Lemon Eucalyptus was the most effective repellent, more than a 7% DEET repellent. This repellent is also registered with the U.S.Environment Protection Agency and recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) for mosquitoes that may carry the West Nile virus.
Consumers Reports in 2006 stated that after conducting their own test, they have concluded that Repel Lemon Eucalyptus Repellent was the best non-DEET repellent. The only complain so far is the repulsive odor.
I think it's drinking kombucha. I know that's a really off-the-wall answer, but I had read that would be true several years ago, so I tried it that year. I brewed it myself and drank it, and we happened to have a really rainy year that year, so of course many mosquitoes. My family even went to Scout Camp that summer, located on a river.
One of my kids was drinking a lot of kombucha; the other wasn't. My husband wasn't, either. So my son and I got through the week with no bites. Not a single one.
My husband and daughter were covered, despite using mosquito repellent.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
