Centennial Olympic Park in Atlanta, Georgia has 21 acres of public enjoyment for Atlantans and tourists. It is strategic to the Georgia Aquarium, the CNN Center, Georgia World Congress Center, Philips Arena, Georgia Dome, and the World of Coca-Cola. Among its features are the Fountain of Rings, Centennial Plaza, Water Gardens, Quilt Plazas, Gateway of Dreams, Paralympic Legacy, Southern Company Ampitheater, Allen Family Tribute, Children’s Playground, Androgyne Planet, Belvedere, Garden Pavilions, and Andrew Young International Boulevard.
You can visit the park between 7 am and 11pm daily. Special events include Music at Noon, Wednesday WindDown, Saturday Family Fun Days, 4th of July Celebration, Holiday in Lights, and Ice Skating competitions. Greetings, The Centennial Olympic Park in Atlanta Georgia was the vision of Atlanta Committee for the Olympic Games CEO Billy Payne. The park was developed for the 1996 Centennial Olympic Games and was constructed with over 75 million dollars in funds raised by the Atlanta Chamber of Commerce and local philanthropic foundation grants. The park consists of 21 acres and much of it is designed for recreational public use.
The park is managed by the Georgia World Congress Center Authority and puts on many free public events including the Fourth of July Celebration, Wednesday Wind Down concert series and Fourth Saturday Family Fun Days. The park also hosts a series of events, festivals, and fundraisers year round.
