What is the difference between a 3-Tab shingle and architectural?

A 3-Tab shingle literally has three one-foot wide tabs and is flat in appearance. Architectural shingles are laminated, which adds a unique appearance resembling the textured look of shake shingles.

3-tab shingles have cutouts called “keyways” that make the roof appear to be made up of several uniform pieces of material. Architectural shingles are made by laminating two pieces of material together to create more texture and depth. Since there are no cutouts, they have a more random appearance than 3-tab shingles.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
