What is the difference between hair gel and mousse?

Hair gel is a bit stronger than mousse. If you have easy to style hair that just needs a little help stying put, mousse may be right for you. If you have hard to manage hair, hair gel may be best.

If you need the utmost help and hair mousse and gel do not work, you may want to turn to hair wax. Wax provides the ultimate hold and is used often for spikey hairstyles. You can get mousse, gel or wax at most stores that carry hair care products.

This includes stores like Walmart. If you have a beauty supply store near you, they will sell it there, as well. Mousse, gel and wax are fairly inexpensive.

You can get each for about $3. You can pick up all three and experiment, See which works best for you. You can always use hairspray on top of mousse for extra hold.
