What is the difference between hypertonic, hypotonic, and isotonic?

Probably cytolysis (bursting of the cell), because the hypertonic cell has more solute inside than out, so when it is placed in a freshwater river, water will rush in to try to attain an isotonic state.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
