What is the difference between shelter dogs and Pedigree dogs?

I find it strange that a Question asked in the UK is about using the USofA's AKC to trace a pedigree. You CAN'T trace the pedigree unless (1) you can PROVE who she is - a registered microchip or a registered tattoo AND (2) she was registered - or at least notified - with the breeder's kennel club. Excuses such as "the papers were burnt in a fire" might be true, but are more likely a convenient cover-story to hide that the pooch is ineligible for KC-registration.

That likelihood is made almost certain by your statement: "they said they didn't know her registration number or anything". You apparently know who the mother is (but do not explain whether you got your pet from the breeder or from someone who had bought the pup from the breeder). So you need to CONTACT the mother's owner, prove who your pet is, and find out the dam's KC-Registration code and the KC-Registration code of whoever sired your pet.

IF both registration numbers exist (I strongly suspect that neither does), you then pay for the breeder to supply you with the papers that let you KC-Register your pet (the AKC is weird in that it allows buyers to do the registration - but it is still the breeder that must do the original Litter Notification). No, people DON'T "have to get the mother's papers again from AKC" in order to have "other litters after the one with my dog". The papers are necessary only for producing pedigreed & registered pups eligible to compete in shows and have registered litters.

Con-artists who can convince mugginses to accept a pup WITHOUT all the papers that go with a registered pooch can have a merry old time. After these "many years" I doubt you have ANYTHING that can be used as evidence to sue the vendor for making false claims. I also doubt that many magistrates would consider it reasonable that your waited all those "many years" before doing anything about the lack of papers.

So either you are miraculously lucky when you contact the brood's owner, or you are stiff out of luck.? To ask about your pet's breed, join some of the YahooGroups dedicated to various aspects of living with them. If you don't know how, click my group's link then, near the top of the page, in the field saying Search for other groups, type the breed's real name. (For a cross-breed, Search for either the one he is most like, or do a separate Search for each breed.) Each group's Home page tells you which aspects they like to discuss, and how active they are.

Unlike YA, they are set up so that you can have an ongoing discussion with follow-up questions for clarification. Most allow you to include photos in your messages. Les P, owner of GSD_Friendly: http://pets.groups.yahoo.com/group/GSD_F... "In GSDs" as of 1967.

I suggest this service: http://phonedetectives.co - The best reverse cell phone lookup service. It's a cheap service that works great! It could be used for a much deeper search.

You can use it to get hold of different varieties of background reports, and in addition cell numbers, addresses and names.. you can get unlimited reports... I ran with this because I required to verify more numbers. You can get the name, other phone number, address history, relatives, and much more about anyone! The completly free reverse phone lookup generally doesn't provide anything interesting.

To get interesting information, money will must be paid. The free searches don't provide considerably more than what may be found through the phone directory or personal information and they simply require your email to send spam. The reverse phone detective search tool does work, but you should use just the service that I posted above.

The last thing you want to do, is pay for a service and find the numbers you want to lookup are not available in their directory. The service that I reccomend doesn't have any kind of problem , you won't get any bad surprise! Trust it!

Reverse Phone Lookup area gives you additional access to millions of public records, including: + Find out the source of a harassing ("prank") caller + Research a number that appeared on your phone bill + Locate an old friend from high school or college + Research "missed calls" on your caller ID that you don't recognize + Verify an address + And more... PhoneDetectives - http://phonedetectives.co Conduct an instant reverse phone lookup. 100% Confidentail and Instant Results!

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
