What is the difference between stem and root?

The stem of a plant or flower is the green straw-like stem under the actual flower. There may be leaves sticking out of the stem. The roots are underground and need to suck the water out of the soil.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
