I often wore an apron when I am cooking in the kitchen but mine is plain. I have two that I can use and getting another one with funny quotes would make a big difference in my cooking experience. I think wearing an apron with funny prints on it is not such a bad idea.It gives a certain attitude to someone who wears it.
If I find one that has funny quotes on it I would be happy to wear it! I am thinking of getting one for my daughters as well.. My youngest daughter especially loves to read since she is just learning and I'm sure she would be thrilled to see and read those funny sayings on it.So far, these are some aprons with funny sayings online. Maybe I will buy one of these some time.

I have two aprons but I have never worn either of them. The reason is because my oldest son made them for me so I keep them put up so they won’t get messed up. My oldest son is a bit of a puzzle to me.
He has always been a very rough and tumble boy but he has always enjoyed cooking and sewing. When he was in high school he took home economics and then would beat up anyone who made fun of it. LOL Anyway, back to the subject!
My husband on the other hand has all kinds of aprons that he wears when he is grilling. They range from the odd and unusual to the cute and clever. I think he has one for any occasion.My favorite one is one that we found while on vacation a couple of years ago.

These aprons must be more popular than I realized, there are shedloads of websites where you can buy them! I had a laugh picking out some good ones, I might even get one or two! My husband was given one years ago, a not very original bikini picture, I don't think he's every worn it.
If they are witty and not tacky I think they are a great idea. I like your idea of starting a collection, you could even hang one or two up on the walls of the kitchen to make it a bit more fun. I bet there are already people out there collecting them, there must be a special name given to someone who collects and makes a study of aprons, something like ; apronithistimiter maybe?
