The name of the child actor who played Anakin Skywalker in Star Wars:The Phantom Menace was Jake Lloyd. In Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith it was Hayden Christensen. Darth Vader/Anakin Skywalker in the Original trilogy was physically played by David Prowse, voiced by James Earl Jones, shown as Sebastian Shaw, and stunts were performed by Bob Anderson.

Just over 3,000 child actors auditioned for the role of Anakin Skywalker in North America and the United Kingdom.
