What is the nicest thing someone has done for you lately?

One person promised to finish one issue for me within one day & he did, while I waited 9 months for solving it with many promises from here & there. It is very nice when you promise what you can.

It's really simple, but hugs. My wife and kids give them to me a lot and every once in awhile someone else will. It's a common thing, but it feels so nice.

I would definitely say hugs are the nicest thing anyone's done for me lately.

I stayed home sick today and my friend offered to make some weird Italian dish and bring it over for me to enjoy. However, things didnt' work out and we've rescheduled for next week.

He married me I had a previous 20 year marriage where I was never good enough, wrong "99%" of the time, didn't make him happy, etc. Etc. , until I was pretty beaten down and convinced I could never be a good wife. Seven years after that one left with one of his other women, I started working professionally with this other man.

Friendship developed from mutual respect, we discussed how neither one of us would ever be married (me again and him at all) and then, in the next few months, managed to start loving each other. Two days before our wedding I was hysterically trying to cry/talk him out of it. I was terrified of being a loser again and losing again.

He didn't listen to me. We were married two days later in a lovely wedding. That was a little over seven years ago.

I never knew anyone could love me this way. I never knew I could be so happy or life could be so good. He is the best thing that ever happened to me, and he married me!

My wife put up with all my youthful imperfections long enough for me to become the man I am today. I read a lot Christian bashing in these here pages, but my little hazel-eyed Latina girl has inspired us all to live and practice good Christian principles. I recall when my husband and I were going through a hard time financially my mother and brother got together and made a food basket near Thanksgiving and put the basket on our front step and rang the door bell and hid. When we opened the door and saw the 12 lb. Turkey with all the trimmings I thought that it had dropped from heaven, I was close, it was mom and little brother.

I knew in my heart that it was them, so I waited until I thought that they had gotten home and I called them so that they could hear the excitement in my voice. I know that it made her day knowing that she could help. I thanked her immencely even though she would not admit that it was them that made up the basket.

However, after her passing my brother finally admitted it. It would have been a gloomy day with 5 children and no turkey and gravy. Thanks again mom!

Well it was the most memorable One of my past BFF works in special effects, so shes a super good artist and crafter. I'm a writer, and I write alot of gothic horror. She also combined my love of cats, especially with wings and my huge knowledge of vampires.

For Christmas she made me a cat statue(which looks exactly like my fav cat) put wings on it, with vampire stake in its paw and a cross around its neck. It is positively the BEST gift I have ever received, ever! The amount of time, detail and talent that went into this piece is fabulous.

I cherish it. It is the centerpiece of all my collectiables. When we had the huge wild fires in October, we were evacuated and I have so much art, statues, gothic stuff, but you can't take it all.....I did take this because it was the one piece I could never replace!.
