Ok, don't see a problem, there are stores you can go to who aren't competitors, such as a deli, or any store that doesn't sell art. You can ask if you can leave some of your business cards in a small holder on a counter. What you can also do to entice the owner, is to tell them if they put their name on the back of the card, and it results in a customer sale for you, you will give them a few $$$ maybe or a $5.00 gift card, or points towards buying one of your pieces.

Some little token of appreciation Better still if that business could benefit from your business too. My hair stylist does that, I have some of her cards, I put my name on the back and pass them out, if that person takes the card to my stylist I get a nice discount off my next hair appointment. I'm sure most of us have seen business cards in stores that were left by other people.

I found this link its has tips and ideas on where to leave your cards. marketinghackz.com/10-unusual-places-to-... com/10-unusual-places-to-drop-your-business-card.

Work out a commission solution. I have done what you suggest, at first business cards, which might seem professional at first-but they aren't. I send out brochures now.

I list on the brochure a code that will give the buyer free shipping, when that code is used, it will indicate which establishment referred them, and I send $10 to their paypal account with each sale. You can do a similar thing by saying maybe 10% off final price when they bring you the brochure, and give referral commission to the establishment. Write up a contract stating that with each referral you'll give 5% of the final price.

You will deposit the money in their paypal account every two weeks. Make it easy for yourself and easy for them. They shouldn't have to do any work at all but sign the contract and display the brochure.

Make sure you leave a blank white spot on your brochures that you print out, get several different stamps, assign one to each establishment, and stamp each one for its corresponding business so you know who exactly referred you.

Awesome answer, thanks! I'll get out the calculator and notepad and work it out! TessieJo 7 months ago .

Do a free drawing and give something to the owner. This will encourage others to give you their contact info or business cards.

Now that's a good idea! Thanks for your input! TessieJo 6 months ago .

Sorry, but I just can't imagine many would really want them to be there--unless they are getting some kind of benefit from it, like a percentage of your sales. I've seen some who allow a business card to be posted on a bulletin board, but unless they are selling your product or you are paying them something, it doesn't seem professional to expect them to display business cards. I guess the best way would be to just ask "would you mind if I left my business card..." Some will be too polite to say no, I'm sure.

And may toss the cards in the trash when you are gone.

Hm. That may be true. I live in a small town though, and seeing private business cards in our shops is quite common.

I just didn't know how to approach them to display mine. Thanks for answering! TessieJo 7 months ago .

I need a clever title for my personal business cards...

My husband wants to print up some more of his business cards.....

I sold my business and the new owners defaulted on the business credit card. Am I liable for it?

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
