JavaScript uses function scope - every variable can be seen only from within the same function or a scope higher than it.
Using the word var within the function binds it to that function's scope.
I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
