Unemployment in Brownsville, TX was reported as 11.6% in September 2010. That's higher than the national average of 9.4% While I'm not personally familiar with Brownsville, I have heard in general for the US that college educated persons have lower unemployment than non-degree holding individuals. Brownsville might have relatively high unemployment numbers if its local economy is mostly dependent on jobs not requiring college degrees.
Hope you find a job if you end up moving... but if possible, I would recommend not moving until you found a job.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
