What is the value of a 45 caliber Union Switch and Signal Model 1911?

Don't know current price but I woould offer $350 if not rusted or pitted. Looking for a shooter according to a 2003 publication that make of 1911 goes for $1,369 new in box condition to $1,095 for excellent condition to $745.00 for good condition UNION SWITCH & SIGNAL .45 only 55000 made the last one I saw at a show 2007 was 95%+ with box for 4000.00 for your information don't go by what is written on a 45 slide. Check serial number - that will tell you WHO made it.In the military often different makers slide put on 45 frames that are not original to the frame.

I.e. An Ithaca slide on a colt frame. One might think it's an Ithaca made pistol.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
