What is the weirdest or most exotic food you've eaten?

Having been a few places I've had the chance to eat some pretty weird things. Alligator, Zebra, Snake, Camel, Turtle, Durian, just to name a few. I drew the line at Ballut.

Cicada tacos I love to eat random things. The way I figure it, if it's part of somebody's cuisine, then people can eat it. If they can eat it, I can eat it.

I always order the strangest thing I can on the menu. I once had something in a Chinese restaurant which had a seafood item I couldn't identify. It was like a scallop, but it was a perfect hemisphere.(The menu was entirely in Chinese; I just pointed at something at random.

This was in San Francisco's Chinatown. ) But the weirdest thing I ever ate was something I cooked myself. During the 17-year-cicada cycle (not this past one, but the one before that) we collected a number of the bugs, cooked 'em up with taco seasonings, and ate them.It was pretty good, actually.

Tasted kinda like pistachios. I've eaten everything else on your list except camel. Not sure what a "ballut" is, though.

For my Wilderness Survival merit badge in the Boy Scouts, our instructor caught, killed, skinned, and cooked a rattlesnake. We all got to eat a piece. He would periodically lift the lid of the pot to show us that the snake’s body was still moving from after-death stimulation of its nerves and muscles.

This may not top you... I have eaten eel before. It doesn't seem to top Zebra, but it answers your question quite nicely. I don't recall the taste too well as it was a good 7 or 8 years ago, but I don't remember being repulsed.

I 'll eat just about anything... Although when Fear Factor used to be on, I used to think to myself, I can do all these physical stunts and endurance stunts, but I don't think I'd be able to choke down buffalo testicals. I might even have a problem with crickets or other insects they need to eat. Not sure if I could force myself to do it or not.

Chicken Feet Maybe not so exotic, but I had it the first time I was in Hong Kong. I went to a dim sum restaurant and was partaking of all kinds of wonderful new foods. All of a sudden there were chicken toes in front of me.

I decided to give it a try. Very unusual. Perhaps because I didn't really know how to eat them, but there isn't much meat on a chicken foot.

I did like the sauce on them, but it was rather disconcerting to merely attempt to eat a chicken foot because, well, it looked like a dang chicken's foot! I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
